Emotions are beautiful, they originate in our minds and resonate in our bodies. They inform us of our beliefs, a major content of our mind. They should never be judged because they are an outcome and not the source. Our body, which feels and turns it into emotion, simply and beautifully communicates what it receives from the mind. Emotions enable us to track down the real source. By acknowledging our emotions first and by letting them move freely, we can ask the question, “what triggered this emotion?” With awareness we will see that it started with a belief. We can then become aware of the belief that triggered the emotion and change the belief, if that is what serves us best. We should not make any distinction about “good” and “bad” emotions, for they all come from the same place. You wouldn’t judge a loudspeaker for the music it puts out, right? It just puts out what it receives. And if we don’t like it we can certainly change the music.
